I have listened to this song so many times and thought I already caught every bar, every double , triple there was to find. I think I found another one that I didn't realize until now. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when the quarterback is up and snaps the ball isn't that also the "Offense" side of the team? So the whole bar is like a triple, if you find what I rap about offensive, take a fuckin hike when I snap 'cause I'm a sinner.... and then the obvious quarterback snapping to the center. 🤔

A lot of people dislike Em because they can’t relate to the music anymore. He’s gotten so technical, and also doesn’t have a lot that’s new to talk about. So he’s forced to show his skill by working all the wordplay and entendres in.
You have to be at least moderately educated in a wide variety of subjects to understand all of the bars. Eminem is an informed guy. You catch a lot more than most young reactors. Keep it up, man.

I’m so glad you got to this one, and caught so much of the wordplay! 💪 (I’ve probably listened to this song at least 30x and am still picking up new stuff.) This verse is just brilliant, masterful writing…even when it seems like he’s moving from one scheme to another, it’s still super cohesive - religion/God/higher power (ties into “blackout, power outage”), violence vs. calm/patience, menace/minister/preacher, shepherd/black sheep/“heard”-“herd,” “arrival”-“a rival”/archenemy, etc.
For example, near the beginning, he says “Could have turned Dalai with the Lama” can also be heard as “Could have turned Ali (like Muhammad) with the Llama (like the gun)” ties into the end of the verse… “Fill up a syllable clip, like a refillable ‘script. Cock and I shoot. Who do you think’s my Glock that I use, that I pull from to get my strength up against these haters?”
Then even beyond the lyrical brilliance, I just love the flows and tone in the delivery of it.

I was impressed by the fact that you noted both Yelawolf and Em characterised themselves as outsiders. Your metaphor of a separate ‘Em world of rap’ is interesting and quite accurate; he has his own personas, his own lanes, and countless flows. Stevie Knoght pointed out that Em can give you anthems and workout tunes, silly/corny raps, Shady raps, autobiographical, diss, technical virtuoso raps and so forth. There’s almost nowhere he can’t place himself. It’s arguable whether any other rapper offers both such breadth and such depth.
Sinner is also the “center” in football ☺️

"Llama coulda turned Ali". was a great bar because "it coulda gone both ways" previous, did he mean the Dali Llama turned Ali into a pacifist or the Llama turned fighter? Because Dali and Ali, either could have been said, and it makes a Mohamed reference without saying it too!

Just caught it, but when he says "Now when I black out power outage" is referencing a verse in the track '3AM', atleast I'm pretty sure... its been awhile since I listened.
